Another day another beach. I recently visited Hermosa beach on my day off 2 weeks ago. It was gorgeous and relaxing. The neighborhood around Hermosa definitely gave me surfer bro vibes. I felt like I was smack dab in the middle of a beach town despite being fresh off the highway. This beach gave me a sense of separation from the busy city and was much less crowded than some of the more touristy beaches.

Fast forward to yesterday when I met up with a friend for a quick post work beach trip! I came home after my 6am-6pm shift, changed outfits, and was out the door in 15 minutes determined to catch some sun before it set for the night. I met my friend at Santa Monica and walked the sand, allowing my jeans to get drenched with water (yeah who wears jeans to the beach???). It felt great to hop in my car and drive 15 minutes to a beach on a whim. Haven’t been able to do that anywhere else I’ve lived tbh. Santa Monica is cool…but on a Saturday in heavy traffic it can be a nightmare to find parking and space on the crowded beach (hence the randoms in all my pics) . Needless to say, I was over it by the tine I got home. But I was thankful to have had the chance to unwind for a little bit.
